Job Purpose
Undertakes the design, development, testing and
documentation of IT programs, scripts and databases to provide IT solutions to
agreed specifications in accordance with current standards. Coordinates with
End-Users and IT Services to investigate and resolve IT application problems to
ensure the effective on-going operation of the system.
Job Description
• Design and develop programs, scripts and databases using
current standards and tools to provide IT solutions that satisfy agreed user
requirement specifications.
• Participate in the evaluation, selection and implementation of 3rd party applications to meet the requirements of IT projects and work requests.
• Plan and undertake application testing in conjunction with key end users. Document faults, design and implement solutions, and re-test the application to ensure it meets the agreed requirements.
• Investigate and resolve problems or queries to ensure the effective operation of the IT application.
• Develop procedures for IT projects to properly manage the required data integration and data migration.
• Maintain documentation of IT applications to ensure effective change management and operation of applications.
• Read technical mailing lists and websites to keep up-to-date with latest IT development technologies and techniques.
