The IT Engineer is responsible for the installation, validation, maintenance and oversight of technical applications or systems. This position serves as a liaison between ministries, clients and/or other technical groups and reports to an IT Manager or Senior Manager.

The
successful candidate will have the following skill set and have implemented the
backup solutions in an enterprise environment.
Extensive
working knowledge of Servers and Storage for both physical and virtual servers
Significant
experience in Operating System and Storage, benchmarking and performance
monitoring.
Extensive
root cause analysis experience.
Solid
theoretical knowledge and hands on experience configuring, troubleshooting,
optimizing and managing most of the following hardware/software technologies
& protocols:

Functions
Maintain
all relevant & necessary documentation (topologies, administration manuals,
standard operating procedures, support contracts etc.).
Escalate
and publish all known and identified risks to system availability and
performance.
Solid
Experience with the fundamentals of all components of IT infrastructures in
enterprise environments including Physical and Virtual Servers, Operating
system to include Windows, Unix and Linux, Desktops, Remote access and
applications.
