Nestle’s history begins
back in 1866, when the first European condensed milk factory was opened in
Cham, Switzerland, by the Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company. Their founder
Henri Nestle, a German pharmacist, launched his Farine lactee, a combination of
cow’s milk, wheat flour and sugar, saving the life of a neighbours child.
Nutrition has been the cornerstone of their company ever since.
The Nestle Corporate
Business Principles are at the basis of the company’s culture, which has
developed over the span of 140 years. Their core aim is to enhance the quality
of consumers lives every day, everywhere by offering tastier and healthier food
and beverage choices and encouraging a healthy lifestyle.
